A great article that pretty much every restaurant needs to reed, and heed! The title pretty much sums it up, frosted glassware is not cool. Too many times have I ordered a beer only to have a slushy arrive at my table. Granted, establishments that serve really good beer typically understand the value of not only temperature, but also of properly styled glassware and the ounces of the pour. But more and more often franchise restaurants are upping their selection (Thank you, by the way!) but missing a few of the details for a great beer experience.

Home brew

There’s just something completely satisfying about drinking beer that you made yourself. This is the first beer that I ever attempted up above. I’ve made a few since then, refined my techniques, bought new equipment, etc. but even this humble first attempt calls to my soul and dances on my palate. It is by no means an award winning beer and I can barely count the mistakes I made while brewing it on both hands, but even now, after aging for a few months, it’s a delight to drink and I think I am rightfully proud of myself!

Novel idea. The guy in the video really sounds like he knows what he’s talking about too (at least so I gather from his accent). Add this to the list of reasons why I’m sad I don’t live in Europe. It’s available for shipment here to the States, but I don’t think it’s worth paying €50 for the bottle and another €30 just for shipping. You can buy a lot of good scotch state-side for €80.
